Science themed handmade headbands by Bradford Creations make lab techs look twice as good as usual

Reversible science themed headbands from Bradford Creations

We are loving ourselves sick in these reversible headbands in some amazingly fun science prints from Toowoomba creative Nikki at Bradford Creations.  Nikki has also made matching lab aprons for science technicians that have been featured on the QEST Facebook page. Because they’re reversible it’s like getting two for the price of one! Woot!

Handmade 100% cotton headbands for teens & adults. $15AU each. Wear them wide and over the ears, or fold them in half to wear behind your ears.
Custom orders welcome.

Male Reproductive System Workshop in North Lakes 21 July 2016

The Lakes College have invited us to deliver a workshop on the male reproductive system on 21 July 2016.  That’s Week 2 Term 3 and I know it seems like a long time away but it will be here before you know it.  You know how quickly Term 3 goes.

This workshop is a companion workshop to the female reproductive system one we did there a while ago.  This workshop will include specimens of bovine penis, porcine testis and live semen.

Mr Vivi will be running this one so you will have him all to yourself. Start a list of really hard questions for him now 🙂

You can sign up via the online shop or send a purchase order by email. Just make sure we have it in time to defrost your bits of bob for you.

He’s looking forward to seeing you there.

Block out the 7 & 8 April on your calendar because we’re bringing you a couple of days of serious science fun.Mr Vivi and I received such a warm welcome in Mackay on our way to Cairns last year that we’ve gathered up some mates and are taking them back with us this year. For anyone in North Queensland this is an ideal opportunity to get good quality PD right in your own backyard, so please join us and encourage your colleagues to come along too.

If you don’t live near Mackay then consider joining us for a couple of days professional development and a tropical getaway anyway. These dates are just before Term 2 goes back and it’s a really lovely time of year to be in North Queensland.

Please share this invitation with your local network as well by clicking on forward to a friend below. The proposed list of workshops is below and they have been chosen because they will be worthwhile for lab technicians, primary and secondary teachers, pre-service teachers and home schooling parents.

Sign up to the conference newsletter now to hear the Squeal from Miss Vivi when the full program is published and registration opens.
